There is no theme for this event. Just your expression translated into song or poem or a stand-up comedy routine.
The goal for 8MM is not to have a finished product, but to give performers and writers a safe space to try out something new - a stanza and some ideas for what comes next, or a scene from a larger piece, or a melody that still needs words. For visual artists, it could be a half-completed painting, and unglazed piece of pottery or a series of photographs still needing touch-up. All we ask is that the work be original and presented in 8 minutes or less.
Collaborations are encouraged!
We provide an audience that is for you. You provide the work that still needs to play around a bit before it is ready to straighten up and fly right.
Believe it or not it’s almost that time again, time to gear up for another great year in Elevate. The Elevate Kick-Off is happening on September 12, 2010 from 5:00-8:00PM right here @ The Center. We would love to see all students in grades 6-12 join us in reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. Expect lots of fun, food, and worship. Cost: $2 and a 2 liter beverage.

Elevate Big Group vs. Dive Groups
Elevate Large Group is intended to be a non-intimidating and high energy
gathering where Christian students can bring their non-Christian friends to hear about the freedom that is offered in Christ. Dive Groups provide an environment where Christian students can dig into God’s Word deeper, grow in prayer, and create meaningful accountability relationships with other students and godly adult leaders.
This group meets monthly to pray for support and to encourage people who are experiencing the loss of a loved one or the impact of a life-threatening health issue. This group also ministers by praying for grief related requests made by the congregation.

Exodus International North-Atlantic Conference
Date:
Fri, September 17, 2010 - Sun, September 19, 2010
Details:
It’s been three years since the last Exodus North Atlantic Regional Conference so this is a great Regional opportunity for ministry, worship, training, prayer and fellowship!
This year we are truly blessed to have Joe Dallas as our Keynote speaker! Joe’s ministry in sexual addiction recovery and homosexuality is nationally recognized. He is the author of The Game Plan - The Men's 30-Day Strategy for Attaining Sexual Integrity, Desires In Conflict, The Gay Gospel? and When Homosexuality Hits Home. Joe Dallas is also the Program Director of Genesis Counseling in Tustin, Orange County, California.
You may be wondering, “Is this conference for me?” If you’re a man or woman struggling with unwanted Same-Sex Attraction this conference is especially for you. If you’re a Pastor/Youth Pastor, Counselor or Christian Lay-Leader/Helper this conference is for you too. If you’re a parent or friend of someone who is struggling with or has embraced homosexuality this conference is for you. If you have a concern for your neighbors or coworkers but don’t feel like you understand homosexuality from a redemptive, Biblical perspective this conference is for you as well. Come and join us and get to know and uphold others in our Region who are on this journey together.
This year’s conference will include Testimonies, Worship, General Sessions and Workshops covering a variety of topics related to homosexuality. Some workshops will be geared toward men and women who struggle personally, and other workshops will focus on educating and equipping leaders/helpers as well as family and friends.
Although the conference will be officially over on Saturday night, Joe Dallas will be also be preaching at two services on Sunday morning, September 19th at Union Center Christian Church and conference attendees are invited to join us for either service.
A love offering will also be taken toward the end of the conference for those who would like to participate further in the development and equipping of the North Atlantic Region of Exodus International.
Books and materials from the Exodus Bookstore will be available for purchase, so you can take additional resources back home with you for yourself, friends, and church library.
