Description
- This role is a physical and hands-on role that also requires management of volunteers.
- This person should have a general working knowledge of maintenance and basic construction.
- This person would ideally be able to fix most issues that arise, but should understand their own abilities enough to coordinate outside help when necessary.
- This person needs to be a self-starter who can take ownership of problems through completion.
- This person should have an eye for detail and cleanliness.
- This person will work with hourly pay up to 15 hours per week.
- This person will report to the Director of Operations.
Maintenance (25%)
- Oversee the general maintenance needs of the church buildings, equipment, and property.
- Act as the troubleshooter for maintenance issues that arise, including but not limited to: basic plumbing, electrical, construction, and painting.
- Attempt to fix any issues that arise (or) coordinate volunteers or local professionals to assist in fixing issues.
- Keep up with routine facility maintenance (for example, replacing batteries, lights, etc.)
Seasonal Grounds Keeping (70%)
- Keep the outside of the church campus grounds clean and neat, including but not limited to: mowing, weed eating, pulling weeds, cultivating flower beds, leaf removal, basic snow removal.
- Execute seasonal grounds keeping personally (and/or) coordinate volunteers to handle seasonal grounds activities.
- Coordinate bi-yearly church work days.
Set Up (5%)
- Coordinate with other staff members to help set up rooms for special events.
