Associate Pastor

Associate Pastor

The Associate Pastor is a shepherding and oversight role that will work closely with the leadership community at UCCC, but will directly report to the senior pastor. This person will partner with the senior pastor, elders, deacons, council, and the other staff to oversee the spiritual formation pathway for individuals from birth to adulthood.

The ideal candidate will help share the pastoral load with the senior pastor. The ideal candidate should be experienced at building teams. This person needs to be hospitable and people-oriented, with the ability to minister to a diversity of people (as described below). In order to fit into the culture of UCCC, the person should be familiar with emotional health, healthy and unhealthy church systems, ministry to groups often pushed to the margins (i.e., single parents, neurodivergent, women, Black and Brown people), and practices of spiritual formation.
